Forgotten Treasures - Film Screening

How can a country preserve its sacred heritage amidst the changing face of modernisation? Forgotten Treasures presents a compelling answer and documents how modern expertise comes to the rescue of Bhutan's ancient values as international conservators help to bring a fifteenth-century monastery back to life for the small community of Buli. The film shows how experts use new techniques to strengthen age-old structures and carefully reveal paintings on walls that have been hidden by centuries of soot and grime.

This is a journey where tradition blends with modernity, a fascinating story of an ancient world grappling with change.
